# Num Null > Num Null is a free number puzzle game for the web (app.numnull.com), with Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store) coming soon. Players combine neighbouring number tiles, hit zero to make a "Null", and try to clear the board in the fewest moves. It is made by Rogue Treasure (ROGUE TREASURE PRIVATE LIMITED, CIN U62011TS2026PTC224953), an independent studio in Hyderabad, India. Num Null™ and the Num Null logo are trademarks of Rogue Treasure Private Limited (applications to register them are pending). ## How the game works - Select a numbered tile, then tap a tile right next to it. - Moving up or right adds: the tile you land on becomes the sum, and the first tile is spent (it turns into a blank, locked tile that can't move again). - Moving down or left subtracts instead. - A result of zero turns into a Null. Nulls can swap with any neighbour, even diagonally. - Score is best when you make the most Nulls with the fewest moves in the shortest time. Each Null scores 100, plus up to 50 for accuracy and 50 for speed, plus a board bonus that grows toward a full clear. - Stars compare the score with the best possible on that board size: 10%, 20%, 30%, 45% and 70% of the top score for one to five stars. Three stars or more in Casual earns bits; four or more in Custom. - Clearing the board (no numbered tiles left) ends the game automatically and doubles the score. On an Endless board the clear comes at one number left. - Board rules: a **Standard** board has limited tiles. An **Endless** board refills the tile you play with the next number from the seed (shown on a tab at the board's corner) while Nulls stay, so each Null removes one number for good; the numbers come in a fixed order, identical for everyone on that seed. Casual and Custom have no clock on Endless; Compete keeps its 5 minutes. - Board types: **Classic** tiles are played without power-ups, **Arcade** tiles with Undo and Flip. - On Arcade boards, Nulls in a row build a combo: from the third Null in a row each pays a growing bonus (+100, +200, +300…). Slides and power-ups keep a combo going; a combine that doesn't make zero ends it. ## Modes and features - **Compete**: compete against other players and show your skill. A 5-minute, 1v1 race on the same board as a rival; the better score wins XP and bits, with head-to-head stats at the end. If no one is online, the run is queued and matched later. - **Casual**: casually play at your own pace and improve your skill. No timer; the recommended starting mode. - **Custom**: customise your board, experiment or create your own: pick a seed to replay a board, or share a seed so a friend plays the exact same puzzle. Four stars or more earns bits. - Daily rewards (free bits, the in-game coins), global and regional leaderboards with the player's own rank always pinned, Undo and Flip power-ups on arcade boards, stats (win rate, streaks, Nulls, moves, history charts) and sound effects with one-tap mute. - Tap "Play now" to start with just a display name and country (a guest "Ghost" account kept on the device), or sign in with Google or Apple to keep progress across devices. Every mode is free to play. ## Core pages - [Num Null home](https://www.numnull.com/): What Num Null is, the four rules, game modes, features, FAQ and download links. - [Play in the browser](https://app.numnull.com): The full game as a web app; no install needed. ## Legal - [Legal hub](https://www.numnull.com/legal/): Overview of all legal documents and how to contact us. - [Privacy Policy](https://www.numnull.com/legal/privacy.html): What data the game collects (and doesn't), what other players see, who it is shared with, retention, user rights and account deletion. - [Terms and Conditions](https://www.numnull.com/legal/terms.html): Rules for accounts, virtual items (bits, Undo, Flip), fair play, leaderboards and governing law (India). - [Cookies and Device Storage](https://www.numnull.com/legal/cookies.html): Every cookie and storage key used by the website and the game, by name.
